I've decided what I want for Christmas... if there's anyone out there who cares ;)
Jody and I have decided what we're getting for each other already, yeah, I know, where's the element of surprise? Well, at least we know we're getting each other exactly what we want...
I've decided I really want to start scrapbooking, it's always looked fun to me. Not only that, but Aunt Becky has told me how much fun I would have with it, and she showed me some great examples last time I made it down to KY. I also had a girl that I went through training with in the cleveland area who is really into scrap-booking (teaches classes on it and all) talking more about it, so...
I'm getting for christmas, a new digital camera and a photo printer. I found both for around a hundred bucks a piece and know what brands and all, so that's taken care of. But... since we are getting both of those items, it doesn't leave any money left for other supplies, so if any of my loving friends or family were already planning to get me a little something or other for christmas but didn't know what... some ideas might be:
a scrapbook
different kinds and colors of paper
stickers
exacto knife
glue stick (that would be photo safe)
...

ummm, seeing as how i have never really done scrapbooking before I can't think of what other kinds of things i may want or need, but I bet I know who can!
(Hey Favorite Auntie of mine! Would you be so kind as to comment with a list of more items I may want or need?)

So anyway, besides thinking about Christmas tonight, I haven't really been up to too much else today. I got back from Cleveland yesterday. I was there again for some job training. I don't know if everyone knows (since I'm awful about updating this site with anything but photos of Athena), but I started working for Jenny Craig in August. I'm a weight loss consultant. I love it! The only thing I haven't loved is having to leave home twice for nearly a week at a time to go to cleveland for training. As far as I know I'm done with that now. I don't think I have any more trainings to attend... It's just hard for me to leave the baby. I know it's worth it though, I am really happy to have a job that I enjoy, where I help people in a way that really matters. Not only that, but it's not exactly minimum wage :) woo-hoo! That doesn't mean I'm rich or anything, but it does mean that sloooooowly I can start to pay off all those bills I racked up over the last 6 years...
Anyway, I need to go make some dinner and get Athena a bottle, so goodnight all!

Just to update real quick... (I'm not good at keeping up with this) We're all doing good here. I just had a check-up and everything's a-ok. I am already down to 112 lbs. woohoo! Umm, Athena's great, starting to sleep through the night now, which is wonderful! Jody and I are going to see Les Claypool (of Primus) play in Cleveland on the 22nd, so I am excited for that. Umm, not much else to report, so without further ado,

Here we are... don't mind my puffy face.

This photo was taken on April 10th. Athena was born at 5:17pm. She weighed 8lbs. 1oz. and measured 21". I would have updated sooner but I haven't had any photos on my computer until now (I had this one e-mailed to me), still need to burn them all to a disc from Jody's parents computer. Anyway, for all who didn't know, I had to have a cesarean. It wasn't too bad, I'm almost back to normal now, the pain slowly going away. Of course, as every mother will say, it was of course worth it. She's the most wonderful little thing. Thank God, healthy in every way. Thanks for the lj wishes from my family in KY. And sorry I haven't felt up to replying sooner.
We went on a little journey yesterday, our first outdoors adventure. (About a mile long walk along with my best girl-friend, Tara, and her baby.) What a beautiful day for it. The weather here has been amazing, just about every day since I came home from the hospital (Thursday, for those who didn't know)... I think I picked the right time of year to have a baby. Anyway, she did so well, didn't fuss one bit, actually she slept for most of the walk. Anyway, I guess that's it for now, I'll have plenty more photos some day soon, and you can be sure I'll be updating more often. Thanks to everyone who's thoughts were with me!

ok, so just a quick update for anyone who was wondering...
no baby yet. my due date came and went. april fool's (the joke was me actually thinking she'd come by her due date)! So, I have an appointment with the doctor tomorrow - at which point they will probably schedule me to be induced sometime within the next week. That means there is an end in sight. Which is a good thing, because I'm starting to feel like i'm going to be pregnant for the rest of my life... ok, that's about it. i'll update again soon.

This year I've been busy!

In March I bought porn for vermithrax (10 points). In April I gave change to a homeless guy (19 points). Last Sunday I put money in asabear's expired parking meter (14 points). Last Saturday I helped umpachki across the street (6 points). Last Friday on a flight to Pakistan, I stole the emergency flight information card (-40 points).

Overall, I've been nice (9 points). For Christmas I deserve an Easy-Bake Oven!

So just to update... we did get the apartment we wanted. Scheduled to sign the lease Sunday... Plan on moving the week after Christmas (fun!) but I'm already starting to pack, I just can't wait to get it all over with!
Also, we went for a second sonagram today. They were able to complete the fetal survey, and everything looks wonderful right now. It's amazing how much bigger she has gotten since the first sonagram a month ago. They're still approximating a due date of April 1st. I just hope I don't actually go into labour that day, I'll call Jody at work and tell him to get home quick and he'll hang up thinking it's an April Fool's joke!
Ummm, I don't know, not much else right now.

So I got my first sonagram on Wednesday. It was super cool to watch, though a bit hard to keep up with the lady... here's the liver, here's the heart, there's a foot, see the brain, wanna see the butt area? it's a girl, see those two little slits... it was crazy. Sooooo, I guess we can stop struggling to come up with good boy names. We had already chosen Athena Rose for a little girl, and that came easy as pie to us, but the boy names were tough. Suppose we kinda knew all along. Really, I wasn't to sure but Jody had a feeling it was a girl. Anyhow, everything looks great, say the doctors.
